震源地は神奈川県西部。震源の深さは10キロ。地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは5.3と推定されます。
この地震による津波の心配はありません。
気象庁は、8日宮崎県で最大震度6弱を観測した地震で、南海トラフ地震の想定震源域で大きな地震が発生する可能性が通常と比べて高まっているとして南海トラフ地震臨時情報＝巨大地震注意を出して巨大地震への注意を呼びかけています。
地震の専門家は南海トラフ地震の想定震源域から離れていることや、神奈川県の西部では普段から地震活動が活発であることなどからこの地震と、南海トラフでおきる地震との関連性は低いと話しています。

On the 9th at around 7:57 PM, a strong earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of 5 lower occurred in the Kanto region. Although a special advisory regarding the Nankai Trough Earthquake was issued following the earthquake that occurred on the 8th in the Hyuga-nada area, experts believe that the connection to this earthquake is minimal.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake at around 7:57 PM registered an intensity of 5 lower in Atsugi City, Nakai Town, Matsuda Town, and Kiyokawa Village in Kanagawa Prefecture. Intensity 4 was observed in eastern Kanagawa, southern Saitama, eastern Tama in Tokyo, central and western Yamanashi, eastern Yamanashi and the Fuji Five Lakes region. The epicenter was in the western part of Kanagawa Prefecture, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The magnitude of the earthquake is estimated to be 5.3.
There is no concern about a tsunami from this earthquake.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a special advisory for the Nankai Trough Earthquake, warning of the possibility of a large earthquake in the presumed source region of the Nankai Trough following the earthquake that registered a maximum intensity of 6 lower in Miyazaki Prefecture on the 8th. They are urging caution against a large earthquake.
However, earthquake experts believe that the connection between this earthquake and the one in the Nankai Trough region is low due to the distance from the presumed source region of the Nankai Trough Earthquake and the fact that seismic activity is generally high in the western part of Kanagawa Prefecture.

南海トラフ地震ではなく、関東大震災と同じ相模トラフにおける地震じゃないかと思いました。東日本大震災以降、どこにおいても大きな地震が起きてもおかしくないです。備蓄品などきちんと整理しようと思いました。皆さんもどうぞお気をつけて。

自治体の防災マニュアルも見直し、高齢の方も避難しやすい安全対策を考えてもらいたいです。
私の住む野田市は川に囲まれており、水害避難所が遠い地域が多数存在しています。
市長は国道の整備や地下鉄乗り入れ等の要望は行っているが、避難所に関しては動いてくれません。
起きてからでは遅いので、早い対策を取ってもらいたいです。

どこに住んでいても北の方から地鳴りが聞こえる。
今回は地鳴りが無くいきなりどんと縦に一回揺れたから
ああ、近い場所だなと思っていた。
