東海大相模が大逆転勝ち 甲子園へ［2024.7.24］

東海大相模が横浜を破り5年ぶり12度目の夏の甲子園出場を決めた。試合は2点ビハインドも1番・三浦誠登（2年）の適時打、4番・金本貫汰（2年）のソロ本塁打で同点に。再び2点を追う展開となった8回裏、1番・三浦の適時打、3番・中村龍之介（2年）の適時二塁打が飛び出し大逆転。終盤に執念を見せた東海大相模が横浜を下し聖地への切符を手にした。

両校は神奈川大会決勝で過去8度の対戦をし4勝4敗。22年の決勝では1ー0でサヨナラ負けを喫した。この試合で9度目となった決勝の舞台での対戦は、東海大相模が2年越しのリベンジを果たした。

先発マウンドに上がった身長198㎝の大型左腕・藤田琉生（3年）の立ち上がり、いきなり1死三塁とピンチを背負うと横浜の3番・椎木卿五（3年）に適時二塁打を浴び先制を許した。

さらに3回表には3番・椎木にライトスタンドへのソロ本塁打を浴び2点目を失った。

2点を追う展開となった打線は4回裏、横浜の先発・奥村頼人（2年）に対し才田和空（3年）が中安打、8番・柴田元気（2年）が内野安打を放ち出塁すると1死一、二塁の好機を迎えた。マウンドには横浜の2番手・織田翔希（1年）が上がり9番・藤田は左飛も1番・三浦にセンターへの適時打が飛び出し1点を返した。

5回裏には1死走者無しから4番・金本にライトへの同点本塁打が飛び出し2ー2と追いついた。しかし直後の6回表、死球と二塁打を浴び、無死二、三塁とピンチを迎えると6番・小野舜友（1年）にレフトへの適時打を浴び再びリードを広げられた。

終盤に入り8回裏、6番・才田が中安打、7番・和田勇騎（3年）が内野安打で出塁。8番・柴田元気（2年）が送りバントを成功させ1死二、三塁とチャンスに。するとマウンドに上がった池田聖摩（1年）に対し満塁と絶好機を作ると1番・三浦にセンターへの適時打が飛び出し同点に。さらに3番・中村の適時二塁打で逆転に成功した。

そのまま2点リードで9回表、3番手・塚本空輝（3年）がマウンドに上がると走者を背負うも無失点に抑え試合終了。試合後のインタビューで決勝打を放った中村は涙を流し「3年生と一日でも長く試合ができるようにベストを尽くしたい」と話した。

敗れた横浜は4年連続で決勝進出も昨夏の覇者、慶応義塾に続き今夏も聖地へは届かなかった。

**106th National High School Baseball Championship Kanagawa Tournament Final: Yokohama 4-6 Tokai University Sagami (July 24, Yokohama Stadium)**

Tokai University Sagami defeated Yokohama to secure their 12th summer Koshien appearance in five years. Despite being two runs behind, the team tied the game with timely hits by leadoff hitter Makoto Miura (2nd year) and cleanup hitter Kanta Kanemoto (2nd year). In the bottom of the 8th inning, trailing by two runs again, Miura's timely hit and Ryunosuke Nakamura's (2nd year) clutch double led to a dramatic comeback. Tokai University Sagami's tenacity in the late innings secured their victory and a ticket to the sacred grounds.

The two schools have faced each other eight times in the Kanagawa tournament finals, each winning four times. In the 2022 final, Yokohama won 1-0 with a walk-off. This ninth final matchup saw Tokai University Sagami achieve revenge after two years.

Standing 198 cm tall, starting left-hander Ryu Fujita (3rd year) faced an early pinch with one out and a runner on third base. Yokohama's third hitter, Kyogo Shiiki (3rd year), hit a timely double, putting Yokohama on the board first.

In the top of the 3rd inning, Shiiki hit a solo home run to the right stands, adding a second run.

In the bottom of the 4th inning, trailing by two runs, Kuku Saida (3rd year) hit a single, followed by a bunt hit from eighth batter Genki Shibata (2nd year), putting runners on first and second with one out. Yokohama's second pitcher, Shoki Oda (1st year), took the mound. Ninth batter Fujita flew out to left field, but Miura hit a timely center-field single, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the 5th inning, cleanup hitter Kanemoto hit a solo home run to right, tying the game at 2-2. However, in the top of the 6th inning, after hitting a batter and giving up a double, Fujita faced a no-out, second-and-third base situation. Sixth batter Shunyu Ono (1st year) hit a timely single to left, widening Yokohama's lead again.

In the bottom of the 8th inning, Saida hit a single, followed by a bunt hit from Yuki Wada (3rd year). Shibata successfully executed a sacrifice bunt, setting up a one-out, second-and-third base situation. Facing pitcher Seima Ikeda (1st year), Miura hit a timely center-field single, tying the game. Nakamura's timely double completed the comeback.

Leading by two runs in the top of the 9th inning, third pitcher Kuki Tsukamoto (3rd year) took the mound. Despite allowing base runners, he kept the scoreboard clean, ending the game. In the post-game interview, Nakamura, who hit the winning double, tearfully said, "I want to do my best to play with the third-year students for as long as possible."

Yokohama, reaching the finals for the fourth consecutive year, fell short of the sacred grounds again this summer, following their loss to last summer's champions, Keio University.

✅ 今日の決勝戦と同じカードだった春の神奈川県大会準決勝を観戦した際、まず両チームの選手個々のポテンシャルの高さに目を見張った。よくぞこれだけの選手を集めてきたものだと、そのスカウト力の凄さに感心してしまった。ただ、随所に粗さも感じられた。それだけに、夏までにチームとしてどれくらい練られていくのかに注目していた。前日の準決勝の戦いぶりに、両チームの春以降の成長が垣間見えた。技術もさることながら、勝利への執念・執着が対戦相手を上回っていた。それを植えつけるためには、日々の練習や実戦の中で、今の時代には否定されがちな厳しさも相当に打ち出していたはずだ。そんな両チームの対戦はまさに高校野球における「究極の一戦」であり、予想通り、終盤まで結末が読めないつばぜり合いになった。そして終了後のなんとも言えない虚脱感。どちらか１チームしか甲子園にいけないという当たり前の現実が、今日は本当に無情に感じられた ✅ 神奈川県大会決勝に相応しい最後までどちらに転ぶかわからない試合でした。
横浜は昨年の悔しさもあり、強い気持ちで今大会に挑んでいたでしょう。
しかし、東海大相模がそれを上回るかのように、総合力の高さを見せました。
最後は技術よりもメンタル面でも勝っていたでしょう。
東海大相模は下馬評でもかなり高い評価になると思います。
夏の甲子園で勝ち上がることに期待していきたいです。 ✅ ぼくも現地で取材していました。お互いに死力を尽くした総力戦でした。２日連続で男泣きの東海大相模・原監督が「生徒のおかげです」と繰り返せば、横浜・村田監督も「生徒は素晴らいプレーをしてくれた」と語り、１年生に重い役割を背負わせた自身を責めてました。最後に必ず対戦することになると、ずっと意識をしてきたライバル同士。小さなミスもありましたが、それ以上に素晴らしいプレーの連続でした。
原監督にとっては初めての甲子園です。選手の皆さんとともに、横浜の分もがんばって欲しいです。
もう一つ触れておきたいことがあります。横浜の３番椎木君がサイクル安打を達成したのです。この大一番で、すごいバッティングを見せてくれました。とくに最終回、サイクルを決めるセンター前ヒットはしびれました。もう一度試合の流れを変える可能性を秘めた一打でした。
