大谷30発30盗塁達成 DHで史上初［2024.8.4］

ドジャース・大谷翔平投手（３０）が３日（日本時間４日）、敵地・アスレチックス戦に「１番・ＤＨ」でスタメン出場。自身初の３０本塁打＆３０盗塁の「３０―３０」を初めて達成した。

　ＤＨでの「３０―３０」は史上初。ド軍ではＲ・モンデシー（９７、９９年）、Ｍ・ケンプ（２０１１年）に次いで３人目（４度目）の快挙だ。

　前日まで３３本塁打、２８盗塁だった大谷はこの日、初回先頭で四球を選んで出塁。２番Ｔ・ヘルナンデスの初球でいきなり走り、二塁を陥れた。今季２９個目の盗塁に成功した。ヘルナンデスは中飛だったが、タッチアップで三進した。後続が凡退し、先取点にはつながらなかったが、勝利にかける執念を見せた。９回先頭で迎えた第５打席で、中前安打で出塁。ヘルナンデスの２球目に走り、この日２つ目の盗塁に成功。今季３０盗塁とし「３０－３０」を達成した。

　先月７日のブルワーズ戦以来、今季５度目の１試合２盗塁をマーク。３０盗塁の大台に到達した。

　ヘルナンデスが安打で出塁し、無死一、二塁とすると、ダブルスチールを敢行し、オールセーフ。三盗に成功した大谷は、メジャーで自身初の１試合３盗塁をマークした。完全に試合の流れを手にしたドジャースは、ロサリオの二失で大谷が生還して追加。その後も連打で得点を重ねた。

　３１盗塁は日米通じてキャリアハイ。「走力が上がっている」と３０歳を迎えても大谷の足は成長を続けているという。２１年の２６盗塁を大幅に上回るハイペースで走っており、メジャー史上６人目の「４０―４０」も現実的なターゲットとなっている。

He is the first to achieve "30-30" as a designated hitter. In Dodgers history, he is the third player (achieved four times) to reach this milestone, following R. Mondesi (1997, 1999) and M. Kemp (2011).

Ohtani, who had 33 home runs and 28 stolen bases before the game, drew a walk as the leadoff batter in the first inning. He then stole second base on the first pitch to T. Hernandez, marking his 29th stolen base of the season. Although Hernandez flew out to center and Ohtani advanced to third on the tag, the following batters failed to bring him home, but his determination to win was evident. In his fifth at-bat in the ninth inning, Ohtani singled to center. He stole his second base of the day on the second pitch to Hernandez, achieving his 30th stolen base of the season and completing the "30-30."

This was his fifth game of the season with two stolen bases, the first since the game against the Brewers on the 7th of last month. He reached the milestone of 30 stolen bases.

With Hernandez getting a hit and runners on first and second with no outs, Ohtani and Hernandez executed a double steal successfully. Ohtani then stole third, marking his first career game with three stolen bases in the majors. The Dodgers, seizing the momentum, scored additional runs, including Ohtani scoring on Rosario's error, followed by consecutive hits to extend the lead.

Ohtani's 31 stolen bases are a career high, including his time in Japan. At 30 years old, his speed continues to improve. With 26 stolen bases in 2021, he is on a record pace this season, making him a realistic candidate for the "40-40" club, a milestone only six players in MLB history have achieved.
