南こうせつ「神田川」印税に驚き

50年以上の歌手人生も振り返り、「20代のころ『神田川』が売れて、私に印税が入ってきました。とんでもない金額です。当時の初任給が5万円とかでしたから、僕の印税はケタが違いました。おかしいと思っていました」と説明しつつ、お金を稼ぐことよりも「死ぬときは死ぬから、笑顔で生きたいよね」と今後の夢を打ち明けた。

When asked by the host about his future goals, he replied, "Well, I don’t have any..." but then added, "I just want to be able to sing every day."
Looking back on his more than 50-year singing career, he recalled, "When 'Kandagawa' became a hit in my 20s, I started receiving royalties. The amount was unbelievable. The starting salary back then was around 50,000 yen, so my royalties were on a completely different level. I thought it was strange." Despite this, he shared his future aspirations, saying, "Since we all die eventually, I just want to live with a smile."
